In real life, people see your true, unmirrored face with natural 3D depth and focal distance (equivalent to 50mm human vision from 1.5 meters away). When you look in a bathroom mirror, you are seeing a horizontally inverted reflection. Because human faces have natural micro-asymmetries (eyebrow arch, hairline part, cheek contour), your brain becomes habituated to your flipped reflection through the Mere-Exposure Effect.
